Thursday 6th of June is 'Empathy Day' and P4 were invited to join a zoom call with over 120 other schools from around Northern Ireland, to take part in a 'Draw Along' associated with NI Libraries. Author and illustrator Clive McFarland read to us from his book 'Standing on One Leg is Hard' and we discussed how to empathize with the characters. We then looked at some real life animals that appeared in the book before taking part in a draw along session. We also had the opportunity to ask questions once we had finished. At the end of the day we made some 'superpower empathy glasses' to remind us to look out for others and think about how they may be feeling!
