We had an exciting visit from the 'Water Bus' today at Thompson Primary. Each class from P4-7 got to board the double-decker bus and take part in some very interesting lessons. Upstairs we watched a video that taught us about the water cycle, looked at some of the reservoirs in Northern Ireland and discussed how to reduce the amount of water we use. When we moved downstairs we looked at how water treatment plants work, identified what can and cannot be flushed down our toilets and then carried out an experiment using sand to filter dirty water. It was a very informative and enjoyable visit!
