In P5, we are learning how to calculate the area of shapes.
We started off by counting squares and using our special units to show the area.
We loved using the multilink cubes to make shapes for our friends and challenge them to work out the area.
Then we learnt how to calculate the area by multiplying the length by the width. We're so glad we know our tables well to help with this!
