In P5 we have been learning how to calculate the perimeter of shapes. We decided to complete an investigation and work out the perimeter of our playground.
We decided that the best piece of equipment to use would be a trundel wheel. In groups, we went outside to count the clicks from the wheel and measure each side of the playground.
We then came back into class and completed the calculation to find out our playground in 76m in perimeter.
P5 loved being investigators and worked really hard on to calculate and measure accurately.
