Primary 7 enjoyed baking some delicious Victoria sponge cakes for our Victorian tea party. Mrs Wilson kindly provided strawberry jam made from the strawberries grown in our school garden. The cakes were a great success and perfect for a party fit for some rather finely dressed ladies and gentlemen.
Our classroom was transformed into a Victorian parlour with beautiful tablecloths, fine china and flowers to set the scene. The children embraced every opportunity to practise their Victorian etiquette while sampling some delightful treats. Tea and lemon juice provided the perfect accompaniments to our sweet treats.
